Stella Company was created by Amélie Elbaz, dancer, choreographer and dance teacher, trained in contemporary dance in Europe and the United States. After having worked as a dancer and a choreographer assistant in several companies, she becomes in 2003 the artistic director and trainer for the Menara Show in Marrakech. Through this experience, she creates « Stella Compagnie », established in Marrakech but performing throughout Morocco and abroad. The company is built up of permanent dancers, but regularly invites artists with different backgrounds for special events (musicians, composers, actors, videasts, acrobats...). The first goal of Stella Company is to propose shows. She has an important repertory with diversified choreographic plays, to fit with different kinds of events : thematic nights, improvisations with dj’s or musicians, happenings… in various places (palaces, guest houses, bivouacs, gardens, manufactures...). Shows are always realized according to the specific parameters of related events ( festivals, awards ceremony, reveal, meetings) Hence the program, its duration and the location of the plays, so as the number of artists, always depend on their distincitives characteristics to be totally harmonized with the general atmosphere. The company can also have a partnership with a place and create their integral customized shows (creation of choreographies, music and costumes) for regular or punctual performances.
